Rock Valley Credit Union Named “2023 Best Credit Unions to Work For”

LOVES PARK, Ill. (Aug. 28, 2023) – Rock Valley Credit Union (RVCU), a local and independent financial institution that offers personal solutions for individual and family banking needs, has been recognized for the second consecutive year as a “2023 Best Credit Unions to Work For” organization announced by Credit Union Journal (part of American Banker).

Best Credit Unions to Work For is a research-driven program from Best Companies Group (BCG) that examines the company’s practices, programs and benefits and surveys employees for their perspective.

To participate in the process, RVCU had to complete two surveys. The first was an employer questionnaire that detailed the company policies, practices, benefits, and demographics. The second survey was an employee engagement and satisfaction questionnaire which included an in-depth set of 79 statements that employees responded to on a scale of and open-ended and demographic questions.

Winners of Best Credit Unions to Work For were announced by American Banker on Monday, August 28^th, 2023, and included in a special issue of Credit Union Journal. The full list of recipients can be viewed at Best Credit Unions to Work For, ranked 1-35.

According to American Banker, 70 credit unions made the list this year. The institutions range in size from just 22 employees at PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C., to as large as 3,258 team members at America First Credit Union in Riverdale, Utah. RVCU was ranked fourth among the 70 credit unions to receive the recognition.
