Rock Valley Credit Union is excited to support Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay which will allow our members to securely use their phone, and their Rock Valley Credit Union debit card, to make purchases.

How does it work?

You are able to load your debit card information into these mobile wallet apps…making it easy for you to use your smartphone to make purchases. No more having to pull out a plastic card from your back pocket or purse!

1. Set up your Mobile Wallet
Choose the option (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay) that is compatible with your mobile device. Download the appropriate app and follow the installation instructions. You may be prompted to contact Rock Valley CU to activate your  debit card for use on your mobile device. When you are activating a debit card, you will also have the option to receive a text message  or email with a one-time passcode. This is an important step to confirm your identity and prevent unauthorized use of your card.

2. Make a Contactless Purchase


Wherever you see the contactless symbol, you can use your mobile wallet. Select the Rock Valley CU payment card within your mobile device and either tap or hover your device over the merchant card reader to activate the transaction.

Benefits of using Mobile Wallets

Safe and Secure

When you add your cards to a digital wallet, a unique number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in your phone. Whenever you make a purchase, the unique number, along with a transaction-specific security code, is used to process your payment. Your actual debit card numbers are never shared with merchants or transmitted with the payment.

Your Privacy Matters

Rock Valley CU and mobile wallets help ensure your information remains confidential.
Your transaction information is not saved on your phone, so your payments are private. Since you never have to show your card, you never reveal your name, card number, or security code to the cashier when you pay in a store.

Remote Deposit Capture

Remote Deposit allows you to deposit a check using your mobile device by taking a picture of the check and submitting it to the credit union. In order to use Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), you must first install the credit union’s mobile app. The app is currently available in the App Store and Google Play.

Which types of checks are not eligible for remote deposit?

  • Third party checks
  • Checks with multiple payees, unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees
  • Stale dated checks, dated more than 6 months prior to the date of deposit
  • Foreign checks

When will my deposit hit my account?

  • Deposits are posted immediately with a minimum two-business day hold if received prior to the cutoff time
  • The cutoff time for remote deposits Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays is 3 PM Central Standard Time  *
    • If your deposit is received by 3 PM we consider that day to be the day of your deposit.  Deposits made after 3 PM will be considered to be made on the next business day we are open.  
    • Please consider these posting times if you need immediate access to the deposit as you may want to consider making the deposit in person or a night drop at one of our branches.

What should I do with the check afterwards?

Please write void and Electronically Presented on the check and keep it in a safe place for 60 days then destroy it.

How much can I deposit?

Checks may be deposited up to

  • Up to $2,500.00 per day or up to 5 items per day
  • Up to $10,000 per month or up to 20 items per month

Text Banking

Enroll through NetTeller

Create your own unique short code for each account

  • Choose which accounts you want to include/exclude
  • You will receive a confirmation with RVCU's text number and commands
  • Send a text to 89549 to get:
    • Account balances (one or all)
    • Recent account history

Step 1: Enroll

  • Login to Home Banking/NetTeller
  • Go to Options and click Mobile Settings and choose the Text Mobile Settings tab
  • Click Yes, enable my accounts for your mobile device
  • Click Yes, to Agree to Terms

Step 2: Enable Accounts

  • Enter the phone number you would like to use to receive/send text messages
  • Select your Wireless Provider
  • Select the accounts you want access to from your mobile device
  • Create Mobile Short Name (i.e. SAV for Savings, CHK for Checking, CHKH for Checking Holly)
  • Click Submit

Step 3: Perform Transactions

  • Confirm your subscription for this services by replying “YES” from your Mobile Device
  • To perform transactions, just submit a Text Command to 89549
