Darlyne Keller Named Among 2021 People You Should Know

ROCKFORD ILL. (June 24, 2021) - Darlyne Keller, President and CEO of Rock Valley Credit Union, was recently named one of the 2021 People You Should Know by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce. She was one of 20 women and men who was recognized during a special reception on June 24 at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens in Rockford.

Highlighting individuals who are compelling, interesting, and “doers,” People You Should Know are people admired for their work, drive, dedication, and commitment to what they believe in. These are business individuals who work hard every day to make the Rockford community a better place to live, work, learn, and play.

Keller is a banking leader, having worked in the financial industry for her entire adult life. She joined Rock Valley Credit Union as president in 2018 and through her leadership, the credit union is enjoying its greatest level of stability in its 52-year history.

In addition to her executive role at Rock Valley Credit Union, Keller participates in several credit union leadership and human resources networking groups and contributes to industry-related conferences and publications as a speaker and writer. In 2020, she led the credit union’s efforts to help nonprofits affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, securing grant funding for both Carpenter’s Place and Miss Carly’s and surprising eight other local organizations with year-end financial funds.

"I'm extremely honored to be recognized as part of this year’s class of People You Should Know,” Keller said. “I’m inspired every day to lead such a great institution and a team who in turn works hard every day to help our members and are dedicated to making our community better.”

People You Should Know began in 2011 and has honored 145 leaders since it started. This year’s class is comprised of men and women representing a variety of industries, including health care, government, nonprofits, finance, education, and professional services. Honorees are business leaders who impact their respective organizations and industries and who positively affect the local business environment.
